Happiest of Birthdays

This week I’m focusing on the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set. It’s a 4 piece cling stamp set (152539, $19) which can make really fast cards for when you’re in a rush! Except when one of the stamps disappears and you have to spend time cleaning up to try to find it! I still haven’t found it, but my craft room is a lot tidier! I’m beginning to suspect it stuck to my shirt which means it could be anywhere in the house…

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Happiest of Birthdays - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies - Forever Greenery DSP

The background for this card is a piece of the Forever Greenery DSP which I’m trying to use up this month. It is on a Soft Sea Foam cardbase.  The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock and then die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. Sadly I was really late to the party regarding how well Pretty Peacock coordinates with Soft Sea Foam. After popping up the sentiment with dimensionals, a few Elegant Faceted gems were added.

Come and join me on Facebook today at 11am EDT to learn how to make this and 2 others. I will also upload the video to YouTube.

Forever Greenery DSP

This is my fifth simple card to use up your retiring DSP. Here’s another different pattern from the Forever Greenery DSP. I’m really glad that I started this series to use up DSP or I probably wouldn’t have made this card and I really love it.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Greenery DSP - Forever Fern - Boho Indigo Product Medley

This card is similar to yesterday’s in that it is a 2 inch strip of The Forever Greenery DSP. I didn’t add a mat this time because I didn’t think it needed it.  Whereas yesterday’s card was showcasing the DSP, in this one it’s more of a background so I chose a quieter pattern.

The image was stamped in Pretty Peacock onto a 2 1/2 by 3 inch piece of Soft Sea Foam. Next it was matted in Pretty Peacock (1/8 inch larger in both directions). Next the sentiment was added from the Boho Indigo Product Medley, merely because it was still out on my desk from last week and it was the right kind of shape! This then allowed me to position the layered images. The finishing touch was more of the Elegant Faceted gems.

The idea with this layout is that the focal point hangs over the strip of DSP. You can get 12 cards like this out of one 12 by 12 sheet of paper which makes 144 out of the full DSP pack!

I’ll be making the 5 layouts I’ve shown this week later this morning at 11am EDT as usual. I’m not sure if I’ll use the Forever Greenery DSP, I may show a different one.

Forever Greenery DSP

This week I’m focusing a little differently – the designer series paper from the annual catalog will be retiring at the beginning of May. I’m still using my Forever Greenery DSP, but a different pattern.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Greenery DSP - Stitched Rectangle Dies

This card is basically the same as yesterday’s, but in the horizontal orientation and with an added mat. The Forever Greenery DSP is 2 by 5 1/2 inches with the Soft Sea Foam mat 2 1/8 by 5 1/2 inches. If you prefer a deeper mat, maybe try 2 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches. This was then added to a Just Jade card base. The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments set and is stamped in Just Jade on Soft Sea Foam. After die cutting it with the Stitched Rectangle dies it was popped up with dimensionals. The final touch was a few of my favourite gems, the Elegant Faceted gems.

I opened my preorder box this morning and I saw the beautiful new incolor gems, it looks like the Faceted Elegant gems have some competition!

You can get 12 cards like this out of one 12 by 12 sheet of paper which makes 144 out of the full DSP pack!

Forever Greenery DSP

This week I’m focusing on using up some of the designer series paper from the annual catalog which will be retiring at the beginning of May. I’m still on the same pattern from my Forever Greenery DSP; it’s so beautiful I didn’t use it up very fast! Here’s another way simple layout that you can use.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Greenery DSP - Peaceful Moments

Here the DSP is a 2 1/2 by 3 1/4 inch piece of the Forever Greenery DSP which is matted in Pretty Peacock.  The sentiment from Peaceful Moments was stamped in Pretty Peacock directly onto the Thick Whisper White card base. Simple, quick and to my mind, beautiful.

You could get 12 cards like this out of one 12 by 12 sheet of paper with some leftovers. Or if you reduced the size of the DSP to 2 1/2 by 3 inches you could get 16.

Forever Greenery DSP

This week I’m focusing on using up some of the designer series paper from the annual catalog which will be retiring at the beginning of May. It’s a good thing to use it before we get the new papers. Who doesn’t need a stack of Thank you or Birthday cards? So I thought I’d grab some of my Forever Greenery DSP and spend the rest of this week showing some simple layouts to use some of it up.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Greenery DSP - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies - Peaceful Moments

This one is a 2 by 5 1/2 inch piece of the Forever Greenery DSP added to a  Pretty Peacock card base. Then the  sentiment stamped in Pretty Peacock was cut out using the Stitched Shapes framelits dies. The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments. I added some of my favourite Elegant Faceted gems.

You could get 12 cards like this out of one 12 by 12 sheet of paper which makes 144 out of the full DSP pack!
