A Touch of ink

This week I’m giving you a sneak peek of a product that you’ll be able to earn for free starting next Monday – A Touch of ink. It’s a 17 piece photopolymer 2 step stamp set and an order of $100 is enough for you to earn it.

The stem and outline were stamped in Mossy Meadow and then the watercolor look fill in stamp was stamped in Merry Merlot. It doesn’t match the outline perfectly, it’s a more arty kind of impression. The image was then matted with Merry Merlot card stock.

Although the photo looks to be a different color layer to the card base, they are actually both Very Vanilla. Before glueing the layer onto the card base, the sentiment, also from A Touch of Ink, was stamped just in case!

Celebrate Sunflowers bundle

This week I’m completely confused about what day it is and forgot to post this on Sunday as I had planned. I can’t really understand that because I remembered to do my Facebook Live on the right day! I used both parts of the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle for this card.

The dies that were used for this card may have been overlooked since they don’t cut out any stamped images. So I decided to make them the focus of my card. The colors used for the greenery were Just Jade and Shaded Spruce and they were layered onto a very vanilla layer which was then matted with Shaded Spruce.

After wrapping the Just Jade ribbon around the layer, it was adhered to a Just Jade card base. The sentiment, also from Celebrate Sunflowers, was stamped in Just Jade and then cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. The final touch were the little ladybug embellishments which are a sneak peek from the upcoming catalog that will be live on January 4th.

I demonstrated this card and 2 others on Sunday at 11am on my regular Facebook Live. You can catch a replay or check it out on YouTube. Links below.

Celebrate Sunflowers

This week I’m completely confused about what day it is and forgot to post this on Saturday as I had planned. I figured that nobody was going to be looking on Christmas Day itself! I was using just the Celebrate Sunflowers for this card.

Liz Bailey - www.MyElegant Cards.com Images © Stampin' Up!

The sunflowers and leaves were stamped in versamark to get a watermark look. I haven’t used this technique in ages, no idea why. I used the stamparatus to ensure a good well stamped image on the piece of Bumblebee card stock. This was then matted with early espresso. The sentiment was die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies and then attached to the Bumblebee ribbon. Once the ribbon was firmly attached, the layer was added to the whisper white card base and a bow added.

I demonstrated this card and 2 others yesterday at 11am on my regular Facebook Live. You can catch a replay or check it out on YouTube. Links below.

Celebrate Sunflowers bundle

This week I’m creating with the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle (154065, $51.25) which consists of the 8 piece Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set and the 9 piece Sunflower Dies.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Celebrate Sunflowers - Sunflower Dies

The sunflower was stamped in Mango Melody and then cut out with the dies. Next I used the wink of Stella to add sparkle and to spread the colour over the petals. Then a touch of the soft suede blend around the centre of the sunflower which was topped by a embossed and die cut piece of early espresso.

The sentiment which also comes from Celebrate Sunflowers was stamped in early espresso. A few glittery gems added finished off the card.

I’ll be demonstrating this card  and 2 others on Sunday at 11am on my regular Facebook Live.
