Forever Greenery DSP

This week I’m focusing a little differently – the designer series paper from the annual catalog will be retiring at the beginning of May. We need to use it before we get distracted by the new papers. And you know that we’ll get distracted. So I thought I’d grab some of my Forever Greenery DSP and spend the rest of this week showing some simple layouts to use some of it up.

This one is a 3 3/4 by 5 inch piece of the Forever Greenery DSP matted in Pretty Peacock cut an 1/8 inch larger and then layered onto a Whisper White card base. Then a sentiment also stamped in Pretty Peacock and cut out using the Stitched Rectangles dies. The sentiment is from Sweet Ice Cream.

You could go even simpler and leave off the mat but I prefer the extra layer. If you do that, cut the DSP to 5 1/4 by 4. You can get 6 cards like this out of one 12 by 12 sheet of paper which makes 96 out of the full DSP pack!

Stitched Triangles Dies

The Right Triangle bundle consists of the Right Triangle stamp set and the Stitched Triangles Dies. I decided to focus just on the dies today.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Stitched Triangles Dies - Timeless Tulips

I took one of the Stitched Triangles dies – the second smallest isoceles triangle – and die cut soft seafoam and garden green card stock. Then I cut out some triangles from the Forever Greenery DSP.

Since it can be hard to get something like this straight, I glued them onto a piece of whisper white card stock that was just slightly larger than needed and then trimmed it down. I then matted it with a larger piece of whisper white. All that was left was the sentiment which comes from the Timeless Tulips set and to then position the triangles above it. There was an extra garden green triangle already cut out so I popped it up.

This card, and the two before it, will be showcased on my Facebook Live this morning at 11am EST

Don’t forget that the $5 coupons offer from Stampin’ Up! ends on August 3rd. You get one for each $50 in product so it’s like an extra 10% off.

I’m a member of the Talented Tutorial Team and each month the 15 of us create a bundle of 15 tutorials. If you spend $35 with me on product, I’ll send you all 15. Note: This is the LAST month that I’m offering these.

Rooted in Nature

The product that I’m playing with this week is the Rooted in Nature stamp set and matching dies. The Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies are on the last chance list BUT they aren’t retiring, they are being reconfigured with a new item number and name. But they are reduced in price so it is a good time to snap them up.

I’m also showcasing one of the new 2020-2022 in colors – Just Jade. I’ve used a piece of the Forever Greenery DSP which I think is my favourite new paper and also the 2020-2022 in colour enamel dots.

So I used a Just Jade card base with a piece of the upcoming DSP layered onto Soft Suede. I snipped out my tree trunk (very easy) and embossed and cut out the leaves using the Nature’s Roots Framelits dies and layered it on my banner which I cut out using the triple banner punch. I then sprinkled on a few of the new in colour enamel dots.

I can’t wait to play with the other new colours as well.

Let me know if you don’t already work with a demonstrator and would like a catalog. Just email me at lizbaileycards@gmail.com
