In Good Taste DSP

This week I am focusing on the In Good Taste DSP which is retiring soon. It’s an extra large package (24 sheets) of pictures of walls, floors and textiles and is fun to use. I have a spare package and will send half to each of the first two people to place a $30 order with me.

I have previously posted cards using this DSP so if you search for In Good Taste you should find them in order to get more inspiration.

Today’s card is similar to yesterday’s – a 3 3/4 by 5 inch piece of the DSP which was stamped in Misty Moonlight. It was then matted with Misty Moonlight and attached to a white card base. Finally a few basic rhinestones were added.

The sentiment came from Peaceful Moments, I really like this one – the typeface and the shape of it.

I’ll be making this card plus 2 others using the In Good Taste DSP on my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. I also upload it to YouTube, links below.

Here you can see the amazing texture and although I chose to make a sympathy card, you could make any type. It’s extremely versatile. I have previously posted 3 cards made using this DSP so if you search for In Good Taste you should find them.

Today’s card is a 3 3/4 by 5 inch piece of the DSP which was stamped in Evening Evergreen. It was then matted with Evening Evergreen and attached to a white card base. Finally a few basic rhinestones were added.

Sentimental Swirls

Last week I focused on the Sentimental Swirls stamp set. This is a set in the January to June catalog and isn’t in the upcoming annual so you need to get it soon. Somehow I forgot to post the third card in the trio and have only just realised it. So here we go!

The adorable bird really needs to have its own card so here it is.

The bird was stamped in Real Red on a piece of white and trimmed until it looked “right”. It was then matted in a piece of Real Red 1/8 inch larger. Using the matted piece, I decided where to position the sentiment and stamped in Real Red. Finally the matted piece was attached to a white card base using dimensionals.

I made this card along with two others using this set on Sunday at my Facebook Live at 11am Eastern. Check out the video on Facebook or YouTube showing the 3 card mini class. When you place an order with me for $25 product or more, I’ll send you the card pieces that you need to make the cards. Also when you share my live, I’ll add you to the following week’s raffle.

This card uses three inks – Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape plus half a dozen stamps. Using a regular white card layer, I started with stamping the end of the big swirl image in Pacific Point off the edge of the layer. Then I added the other images.

Next the sentiment, also from Sentimental Swirls, was stamped in more Pacific Point. The layer was added to a white card base. Finally some basic rhinestones and some retiring Polished Dots.

I’ll be making this card along with two others using this set on Sunday at my Facebook Live at 11am Eastern. Do join me for the 3 card mini class and when you place an order with me for $25 product or more, I’ll send you the card pieces that you need to make the cards. Also when you share my live, I’ll add you to the following week’s raffle.

I also couldn’t resist using the absolutely gorgeous Starry Sky card stock which will be available to everyone on May 3rd – unless you are a demo or join up now. If you join now you can put the new in colors in your joining order!

The top layer was the largest image stamped in versamark, sprinkled with silver embossing powder and heated. Next the sentiment, also from Sentimental Swirls, was heat embossed in silver as well.

The layer was added to a mat of silver foil and then attached to a Starry Sky card base. Finally some of the translucent Elegant Faceted Gems were added to the card.

I’ll be making this card along with two others using this set on Sunday at my Facebook Live at 11am Eastern. Do join me for the 3 card mini class and when you place an order with me for $25 product or more, I’ll send you the card pieces that you need.
