Fresh as a Daisy Suite

This week I’m using more pieces of the Fresh as a Daisy suite. Finally I’m using the dies and the stamp set and no DSP!

The Orchid Oasis is a single die cut from the Cheerful Daisies dies which is really awesome. After poking out the pieces, it was glued to a Crumb Cake layer and then onto an Orchid Oasis card base.

The sentiment from Cheerful Daisies was stamped in Orchid Oasis onto a scrap of crumb cake. It was then die cut using the Stylish Shapes dies and attached to the card with dimensionals. At a final touch, I added some gems from the 2022-2024 in color pearls.

I made this card, along with 2 others using this set on my Facebook Live this morning 11am. You can watch live, see the replay or check it out on YouTube.

Inked and tiled

Here’s my third card using the distinktive set Inked and Tiled.

I used Orchid Oasis, Lost Lagoon and added Pretty Peacock to make the DSP for this card. This meant stamping three more of the images – I do like to use all of the stamps. This was then added to an Orchid Oasis card base.

The sentiment, which comes from the same set and is actually two stamps, was stamped in Orchid Oasis. It was die cut using the Stylish Shapes dies and added to the card with dimensionals.

Finally some 2023-2025 in color dots were added.

Plentiful Plants

The product of the week is the 15 piece photopolymer set, Plentiful Plants (155693, $21). There are matching dies but I’m just using the stamp set this week.

I continued to use Evening Evergreen and Orchid Oasis but added Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet as well. It’s an incolor sort of day and I wanted colourful pots I love how the stamps are giving shading on the pots.

The pots and plants were stamped on a white layer and added to an Evening Evergreen card base. The sentiment, from Plentiful Plants, was stamped in Evening Evergreen and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. This was then added to using mini dimensionals.

Finally I added some of the 2022-2024 in color Matte Decorative dots. I have tried different colour embellishments once before and I think that this will be the last time. It makes me vaguely uncomfortable! So I’m back to matching embellishments.

I’ll be making this card along with 2 others using this stamp set on Sunday at my Facebook Live. It is held at 11am east coast and the video is uploaded to YouTube too. If you share my live, I’ll add you to the following week’s raffle.

Shaded Summer

This week’s product is the Shaded Summer cling set (155783, $23). There’s a small sprig stamp and I decided to make a border with it around my die cut.

The first thing to do is to draw around the inside of the die cut so that you know where to stamp. Then stamp the sprig in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent being careful not to simply alternate the colors.

Stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and die cut using the Stitched so Sweetly dies. Attach to the card with dimensionals. Colour some basic rhinestones with the dark Cherry Cobbler blend and add them to the card.

If you don’t need a friend card – but who doesn’t? – there are another 6 sentiments to choose from in the Shaded Summer stamp set.

Beauty of the Earth DSP

Here is a different pattern from the Beauty of the Earth DSP paired with the Stitched Rectangle dies.

Using a piece of the Beauty of the Earth DSP (2 by 5 1/2 inches) it was matted with Mossy Meadow. This was then added to a Whisper White card base. The sentiment comes from the Beauty of Friendship and was stamped in Mossy Meadow and cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. After adding the sentiment with dimensionals, a few opal rounds were added.
