Forever Greenery DSP

This is my fifth simple card to use up your retiring DSP. Here’s another different pattern from the Forever Greenery DSP. I’m really glad that I started this series to use up DSP or I probably wouldn’t have made this card and I really love it.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Greenery DSP - Forever Fern - Boho Indigo Product Medley

This card is similar to yesterday’s in that it is a 2 inch strip of The Forever Greenery DSP. I didn’t add a mat this time because I didn’t think it needed it.  Whereas yesterday’s card was showcasing the DSP, in this one it’s more of a background so I chose a quieter pattern.

The image was stamped in Pretty Peacock onto a 2 1/2 by 3 inch piece of Soft Sea Foam. Next it was matted in Pretty Peacock (1/8 inch larger in both directions). Next the sentiment was added from the Boho Indigo Product Medley, merely because it was still out on my desk from last week and it was the right kind of shape! This then allowed me to position the layered images. The finishing touch was more of the Elegant Faceted gems.

The idea with this layout is that the focal point hangs over the strip of DSP. You can get 12 cards like this out of one 12 by 12 sheet of paper which makes 144 out of the full DSP pack!

I’ll be making the 5 layouts I’ve shown this week later this morning at 11am EDT as usual. I’m not sure if I’ll use the Forever Greenery DSP, I may show a different one.

Forever Fern Bundle

This week I’m showcasing the Forever Fern bundle and here I’m using both the stamp set and the dies.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Fern bundle - Peaceful Moments - stitched shapes framelits dies

I stamped a selection of the stamps still using just Pretty Peacock and Gorgeous Grape and then die cut them using the Forever Flourishing dies which is part of the Forever Fern bundle.

I arranged them so that their stalks would be hidden by the sentiment and then glued them down with the multipurpose liquid glue. Using the Peaceful Moments stamp set, I stamped the sentiment in gorgeous grape and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.

I’ll be demonstrating this card plus two others later today at 11am EST on Facebook. Come and join me! Place a $25 order and I’ll send you the card kit to make these.

Forever Fern

This week I’m showcasing the Forever Fern bundle although I only used the stamps again today. I decided to make my own DSP for this card.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Fern - Peaceful Moments

Using Pretty Peacock and just one of the stamps, I created a background for my card. I then matted it in Pretty Peacock and mounted it on a thick whisper white card base. The sentiment comes from Peaceful Moments and is stamped in Pretty Peacock and cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies and popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll be demonstrating this card plus two others on Sunday at 11am EST on Facebook. Come and join me! Place a $25 order and I’ll send you the card kit to make these.

Forever Fern

This week I’m showcasing the Forever Fern bundle although I only used the stamps today. I decided to use the same colours for all of this week’s cards in case you don’t have the full set and you want to replicate them exactly.

Using Pretty Peacock and Gorgeous Grape I stamped my two main images and then filled in with the speckles. I glued this to a Gorgeous Grape card base. The sentiment also comes from Forever Fern and is stamped in Gorgeous Grape and cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and popped up with dimensional.

It’s a very simple card, quick to reproduce and, I think, quite elegant. Let me know what you think.

Joseph’s Coat

Here’s my third card of the week using the Joseph’s Coat technique.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Joseph's Coat - Forever Fern - Stitched Rectangle Dies - Joseph's Coat

As you know by now, you start by covering a piece of cardstock in whatever colours you like.  This time I applied pear pizzazz, old olive and mossy meadow with sponge daubers. Leave it to get really dry.

Next grab a stamp set and using versamark, stamp on the card and then sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat. The stamp set I used on this card is the Forever Fern which I stamped using my stamparatus so that I could do it all at once.

When the embossing was dry, I smeared my early espresso stamp pad all over the piece of card. After that I used a paper towel to wipe off the colour on the raised images so that the colours shine through.

Tip: If you do a lot of the Joseph’s Coat technique and especially if you use the same dark colors, you’ll probably need to reink your ink pads.

I mounted this onto a mossy meadow card base and added the sentiment, also from the Forever Fern set stamped in early espresso. I cut it out using the Rectangle Stitched Dies and popped it up with dimensionals.

I’ll be demonstrating three cards made with the Joseph’s Coat technique in just over an hour on Facebook Live at 11am EST and also will upload that to YouTube.
