Feels Like Frost

Here’s another two cards using the Feels Like Frost DSP and neither of them are for Christmas.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Feels Like Frost DSP - Peaceful Moments - Blossoms in Bloom - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

This is a very unusual card for me since I really don’t like grey, but here I have to admit that it works really well. I’ll tell myself that the card base is silver rather than Smoky Slate and we’ll be okay. Right? I matted the DSP with whisper white and added that to the silver coloured card base leaving a wide border of the card base showing. I like the balance. The sentiment comes from Peaceful Moments which was cut out with the Stitched Shapes framelits dies and then popped up with dimensionals.

This is the same layout as above but it has a different feel due to the colors. The previous card felt warm, this one is a bit cool. I layered the piece of DSP onto a Night of Navy mat and then onto a thick whisper white card base. Next I stamped the sentiment from Blossoms in Bloom in Night of Navy, cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and popped it up with dimensionals.

I’ll be doing my usual Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST and will demonstrate a number of cards using the Feels Like Frost DSP. I’m hoping to show you that it’s not just for Winter and Christmas.

Feels Like Frost

I’m continuing with Christmas cards because I accidentally made another one. The Feels Like Frost DSP is so beautiful, it almost make Christmas cards for you!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Feels Like Frost DSP - Stitched so Sweetly dies - Joyful Holly

I matted the DSP with night of navy and then mounted it on a thick whisper white card base. The sentiment comes from Joyful Holly and is stamped in night of navy. Finally it was cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies and popped up with dimensionals.

Next I decided to show that the Feels Like Frost DSP can also make non-Christmas cards.

I layered the piece of DSP onto a Highland Heather card base. Next I stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Moments in Gorgeous Grape and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.

I did think about adding embellishments but I don’t think this paper needs it.

I’ll be doing my usual Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST and will demonstrate a number of cards using this DSP.

Feels Like Frost

I decided to make a start on my Christmas cards and selected the beautiful 6″ by 6″ Feels Like Frost DSP to help me. This paper was brought out last year but due to its popularity , it has returned. And it’s easy to see why it was so popular.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Feels Like Frost DSP - Poinsettia Petals

I cut off a slice and matted it in pretty peacock and mounted that on a thick whisper white card base. All the card needed then was a sentiment. I used the Poinsettia Petals since it had a nice looking long Merry Christmas which fit perfectly.

Next I took the piece remaining of the DSP and turned it over.

This I matted with silver foil and then heat embossed the same sentiment from Poinsettia Petals in silver. This came together really quickly and I’m pleased to have started my Christmas cards.

I’ll create a virtual card class so you can start too.

This is a simple card just highlighting the stunning designer series paper which I placed on a night of navy card base. I thought about matting in silver but it was just too much. So I brought in the silver for the heat embossing using one of the sentiments from the Frosted Foliage set.

I’m a member of the Talented Tutorial Team and each month the 15 of us create a bundle of 15 tutorials. If you spend $50 with me on product, I’ll send you all 15.
