Peaceful Place Specialty DSP

This week’s product is the rather gorgeous Peaceful Place Specialty DSP (156394, $15). It’s a specialty paper due to all the silver foil. It’s quite spectacular and I had a hard time selecting which 3 patterns to showcase this week.

This is a very simple card to make – the DSP is cut to 5 1/2 by 2 inches and glued to a white card base. Next stamp the tree from Evergreen Elegance in Evening Evergreen and then add the mat. After that add the layer to the card. After that you need to stamp the sentiment (from Poinsettias Petals), cut it out with Stitched Rectangle dies and then attach with dimensionals. Finally you need to add a few basic rhinestones.

I showed this card plus 2 others at my Facebook live earlier today. I also copied it to YouTube if you prefer that medium.

Peaceful Prints DSP

This week I’m focusing on a free Sale-a-bration product, the Peaceful Prints DSP which is available as a freebie with a $50 order.

This is a 3 inch square so you could make 16 cards from a single sheet. It’s matted in Garden Green and placed on a whisper white card base. The sentiment is from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set which just happened to still be out on my desk. I added a few basic rhinestones to give some sparkle.

I’ll be demonstrating this card along with two others on my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EDT. Come join me and share the video and thus be entered in my raffle.

Peaceful Prints DSP

This week I’m focusing on a free Sale-a-bration product, the Peaceful Prints DSP. It’s designed to coordinate with the Peaceful Deer bundle which I don’t currently have so I wanted to show you alternate uses.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Peaceful Prints DSP

Here I’m using a 2 inch deep piece of the DSP which means that you could make 12 cards with a single sheet. Stop back later in the week to see a card that is even more economical with the Peaceful Prints DSP.

The tree, from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set, is stamped in Garden Green as is the sentiment which comes from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set – I was looking for a square-ish shaped sentiment. It was cut out using the Stitched Rectangles dies and popped up with dimensionals. The tree is matted on Garden Green and glued directly on top of the card. A few basic rhinestones were added to finish it off.

Poinsettia Petals Bundle

Here’s the third card using the Poinsettia Petals bundle that I’ll be showcasing this week on my Facebook Live at 11am EST today. For this card, I pulled out the dies. I still haven’t even touched the matching DSP – I may have to make the DSP a product of the week!

It’s possible to emboss and cut out each petal in one go which is really exciting. First a little folding to get the leaves to look really 3D and then build the flower with glue dots. Once that is done, the sentiment can be placed and finally pop up the poinsettia with dimensionals. This is then placed onto a poppy parade card base and the beautiful beaded pearls add the finishing touch.

Poinsettia Petals

Here’s my second card with this week’s product, the Poinsettia Petals bundle, although this card only uses the stamp set.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Poinsettia Petals - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

This is another simple – and hopefully elegant – card.  The plants are stamped in Old Olive and then filled in using the second stamp in Poppy Parade. To give them sparkle, clear Wink of Stella was added to the berries. This layer was added to a Poppy Parade card base. The sentiment, which comes from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set, was stamped in Poppy Parade, die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and popped up with dimensionals. A bow from the All the Trimmings combo ribbon set finished it off.

I’ll be demoing this card and a couple of others using the Poinsettia Petals bundle on my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST. Come and join me.
