Better Together

I put off buying Better Together because I thought it was a bit expensive and I wasn’t sure how much I’d use it, but I decided to add it to a recent order and I’m so glad that I did. I really love a lot of the typefaces and can see that this is going to be a very frequently used set. In case you were on the fence like me, here’s a closer look at it.

Today I decided to make a birthday card and to go simple. No surprise there. I’m still stuck on the new in colors – today it’s berry burst and lemon lime twist.

I stamped the beautiful sentiment in the archival basic black and added the party hat at a jaunty angle. The spots were colored in using the Stampin’ Write markers in the new in colors as mentioned. Then I trimmed down my top layer a tad (it’s half an inch smaller than my card base) and added a skinny mat of berry burst. And that’s it. Clean, classic, elegant. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Please use the Stampin’ Rewards code to get five FREE handmade cards; the current Stampin’ Rewards code is ZDSGJ9U3 (if your order is over $150, don’t use the code, you get the rewards, but you still get the free cards). In addition, if you spend $50 this month, I’ll send you the metallic sequin assortment. Click here to go to my online shop or here to join my team. To sign up for Paper Pumpkin, click here.
