High Tide

Here’s my third card using the set High Tide (143006, $26) which I’ll be demonstrating later on my Facebook Live at 11am.

To make the background I pressed an E block into the mango melody ink pad and then used the take your pick tool to add little swirls of melon mambo ink. Next I spritzed the block with water and then pressed it onto a piece of watercolor paper and left it to dry.

I’ve made this background before using the exact same colours – I think it makes a fabulous night sky at sunset. Last time I left some of the white edges showing (check out the Ridiculously Awesome post a few weeks ago) but this time I trimmed it down and added a basic black mat. Next I stamped the sentiment and the image in memento tuxedo black. To complete the card I mounted it on a thick whisper white card base and added a bow made with the black glittered organdy ribbon.

I’ll be demonstrating this week’s 3 cards using the High Tide set on my facebook live on Sunday at 11am.

High Tide

So continuing my focus on the images in the set High Tide (143006, $26), I’ve used the stamp set more traditionally.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - High Tide

I started with the sand, stamped appropriately in Sahara Sand and two step stamped the lighthouse in the same color plus real red. The sentiment is also from High Tide and stamped in real red. This whisper white layer was matted I some real red and then adhered to a thick whisper white card base.

I’ll be demonstrating 3 cards using the High Tide set this week on my facebook live on Sunday at 11am.

High Tide

This week I’m focusing on the images in the set High Tide (143006, $26). It’s a photopolymer 16 stamp set with images and sentiments. I’ve used some of the sentiments, but not the images.  So here goes!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - High Tide - In the Pines - Stitched Rectangle Dies

The images were stamped in pool party and early espresso with the birds getting a coating of clear wink of Stella so that they look almost wet. Rectangle Stitched Dies were used to cut out the image and then a pool party mat was added. The sentiment, which comes from In The Pines was stamped on a thick whisper white card base in pool party.

I’ll be making another couple of cards using the High Tide set this week, which I’ll make in my facebook live on Sunday at 11am.

Field Journal – the drake

Here’s another example of a card using the cling stamp set Field Journal (152609, $22).

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Field Journal - Rectangle Stitched Dies

The line drawing was stamped in Smoky Slate stamped off once first. Next the image was coloured using watercolor pencils with a blender pen to smooth out the pencil lines. The colours that were used were daffodil delight, pumpkin pie, pacific point, garden green, basic black and early espresso. Can’t see the garden green? That’s because his head was colored using both pacific point and garden green to get the right shade. The image was cut out using the Rectangle Stitched dies and popped up with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Field Journal stamp set and is stamped in early espresso.

I demonstrated the three cards that I made with this stamp set this morning on my Facebook live. If you missed it, you can see the replay or check it out on YouTube – links are below.

Field Journal

Here are a few more examples using the cling stamp set Field Journal (152609, $22).

The line drawing was stamped in Smoky Slate stamped off once first. The image was coloured using watercolor pencils with a blender pen to smooth out the pencil lines. Colours used were rich razzleberry, old olive and early espresso. The image was cut out down and then an old olive mat was added which was glued to a very vanilla card base. The first card had the sentiment from the Field Journal set stamped in old olive. Then I had a need for a sympathy card.  I made an almost copy and used a sentiment from Peaceful Moments (such a great set) which was die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits die and then popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll be demonstrating these cards along with 2 others at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST.
