Hey Chick with watercolor pencils

I was in the mood for some relaxation yesterday, so out came my watercolor pencils. I’ve been meaning to do a card with one of the hens on top of another for a while and it seemed like the perfect time.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Hey Chick

I stamped my cute images in archival basic black onto shimmery white cardstock – it has a delicate shimmer on both sides and is perfect for watercolouring, although here I used a blender pen, rather than strict watercolouring. After leaving it to dry for a while, I used the early espresso pencil for the bottom hen and feet of the top one. Then daffodil delight, blending into calypso coral blending into real red on the top hen. I added a little early espresso ground as well.

And with a basic black mat and onto a calypso coral card base, there you have a quick, relaxing card!
