Redo of Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

After seeing a great sponged card by Kylie Henshaw over at Hello Crafter, I decided to redo Wednesday’s card and sponge the entire piece of DSP.

I used the rococo rose and pear pizzazz as before, but this time added so saffron for the flower centres. Again I used rococo rose as a mat. This time the sentiment came from Varied Vases since I felt I was going to need cards just to say hello. By the way, it’s really hard to photograph the foiled papers – it’s much nicer in person.

If you want a set of precut DSP and cardstock to make these cards, simply place an order with me for $25. A reminder that the last day of Sale-a-bration is Tuesday which makes it the last time that you can get this DSP – and for free too!

Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

This beautiful metallic  Flowering Foils Specialty DSP is available for FREE until next Tuesday. If you place a $50 product order you can select it. And it’s gorgeous.

This time I used sponge daubers to colour in the flower and make it the focal point of the card. I used some rococo rose, pear pizzazz and rich razzleberry. So there’s a rococo rose mat and I used the same colour for the sentiment – from Peaceful Moments – which I cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

It’s for my best friend whose birthday is on Friday. I think I’ll venture out an drop it on her porch. She’s crazy busy at the moment so I’m sure she won’t see this and spoil the surprise.

Flowering Foils with Hammered Metal

Here’s my second card featuring the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP this week. I kicked it up a notch, this time adding a foil mat and using a brayer to add colour to the DSP.

I used blueberry bushel lightly for the background layer and matted it with silver foil. The hammered metal foil was sitting in my “useful stuff” pot and I thought it would be perfect for a banner.

The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, part of the Poppies suite; they seem to be my go to at the moment. I heat embossed the sentiment in silver and then looked at a number of stitched dies before finally deciding on the rectangle ones. And what a surprise, I even had a matching ribbon.

Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

Yesterday the second release of Sale-a-bration products was made available.  As a demo, I had the opportunity to order early and so can show you the gorgeous Flowering Foils Specialty DSP. It’s rose gold and silver metallic and easily changed up by coloring the white background too. For this first share, I stayed with the paper as it comes but you can bet that I’ll be adding colour soon.

I based the card on petal pink mostly because I had metallic edged petal pink ribbon. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tropical stamp set cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies. The photo doesn’t really do this paper justice, so you’ll have to order for yourself and get this for free with a product order of at least $50.
