Swirly Bird

I was visiting my family in the UK recently and when I stayed with my sister I helped her with her eBay project. She wanted to make thank you cards and we cased one from Eimear, her upline, using Swirly Bird. Caro started making them using one of the newer in-colors, tranquil tide but I thought we should use up the flirty flamingo before it retires. So whilst Caro created the auctions, I sat at the table opposite and stamped. And stamped. The eBay project went well because I made 50 of them and she’s running out!

I used flirty flamingo, fresh fig and smoky slate – I think she selected the last on purpose because she wanted to see my stamping in grey. I don’t like grey. I haven’t worked my way through 2 pieces of basic grey cardstock in almost 4 years. Right. Just don’t like it!

It was very relaxing just stamping away; I’d already prepped the layer so I didn’t have to jump up and down, just stamp. The sentiment is from Work of Art and I like how the sentiment looks, but that was a fair amount of big shot work. Especially since Caro’s stitched shapes framelits dies like to really hold onto the card once its been die-cut. And I’m happy to say that Caro is now out of flirty flamingo. We did start on the peekaboo peach colour way (peekaboo peach, garden green and tangerine tango) but I ran out of time to make up more than a few of those.
