Bye Bye Bundle – Beautiful Bouquet and Bouquet Bunch framelits dies

As with last Friday, today I’m sharing a bundle of products which are in the upcoming catalogue BUT they are no longer bundled together giving you a 10% saving. They are the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the Bouquet Bunch framelits dies and they make it easy for flower arranging challenged people like me to make a nice bunch of flowers! Here’s my favourite card that I made with this bundle. I really like that not only are there the images you need for your flowers, there are also a dozen sentiments. With 21 dies and 37 stamps, it’s seems a fairly expensive bundle, but you do get a lot – however you really need to take advantage of the bundled saving and grab it for just $51.25.

To get the differing colours of the flowers, I used an aquapainter to colour a piece of watercolor paper in different strengths of sweet sugarplum. For all the details, click on the photo above.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Brusho and Bubble wrap

I’ve been getting just as excited by the packaging as in the contents of the boxes lately. Bubble wrap is wonderful with brusho.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Brusho and Bubble wrap - Celebrate You thinlits dies

I sprinkled some prussian blue, brilliant red and gamboge brusho powder onto the large bubble bubble wrap and then spritzed with water. Pressing a piece of watercolor paper on top of this produced this background. The cut out from the Celebrate You thinlits dies finished this off perfectly – not forgetting to apply the multi adhesive sheet to the back of the card before cutting out the shape. I love this product, it makes it so easy to apply words.

This one was mostly brilliant red powder with just a tiny sprinkling of prussian blue and a bit more water and pressing down harder. Dapper denim went well with the hints of prussian blue so I used that and the sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday and tied the dapper denim in more by adding a thin mat. I think it was after making this card that my brother Martin found me in the kitchen washing bubble wrap. He was just a little surprised shall we say? He understood of course once I’d explained. I’m now on the lookout for some small bubble bubble wrap!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Farewell to Happiest of Days

I’m continuing my Farewell to stamp sets that I will miss with Happiest of Days. Happiest of Days is a lovely little stamp set which I’ve used a lot in my classes. Here are some of my favourite cards to show the variety. Just click on a photo to go to the original post.

I’ve used this one for masculine and feminine birthday cards – this one is using tranquil tide and lemon lime twist in both markers and card stock. I love how it’s so simple and yet so effective.

Next a totally feminine birthday card featuring Whole Lot of Lovely DSP (still available last time that I looked), gold heat embossing, powder pink shimmer ribbon (not retiring!) and some colouring with pear pizzazz and powder pink Stampin’ Write markers.

Here I used a powder pink watercolor wash for the background to my card with some berry burst marker for the cake stripes. Set off with gold heat embossing, this card could be for any celebration.

I made this one solely to feature the gorgeous little powder pink bow. Pre-tried in case you’re bow challenged. I also love the deep fresh fig border around this one.

Heat embossed string theory

I did mention that string theory is addictive, yes? This time I decided to try heat embossing.

copper partial

Since versamark is quite sticky, I ended up with rather too much copper at the bottom of the image. Trimming worked rather well and focused on the more detailed part. I added a copper foil mat and heat embossed the sentiment from Blooms and Wishes (retiring). I rather like the copper and white card. Here’s my first post on string theory and also the link to Lydia Fiedler’s blog post – including a video.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.
