Lovely Lily Pad and Lily Pad dies

I decided to play with the new freebies that I’d selected out of the Sale-a-bration brochure – Lovely Lily Pad and Lily Pad dies.

I used the dies to cut out 2 rows of the teardrop type shapes and then used the Beads and Baubles TIEF to emboss the rest of the top layer. They go together perfectly. I mounted this on a night of navy cardbase and then turned to the stamp set. I found that the reversible stamp is very easy to use – and ensures that you clean your stamp promptly! – but it isn’t totally symmetrical so you get an artistic look. I diecut the lily and popped it up with dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from the So Sentimental stamp set and is cut out with the matching dies – Stitched So Sweetly – but you can of course use a sentiment from your stash.

Detailed Hearts die and Sprinkles

Here’s my second card this week using the Detailed Hearts die. I cut it out again in very vanilla but this time used the Pigment Sprinkles to create a fun background.

The sentiment comes from the really versatile Peaceful Moments set. It has 10 sentiments covering most occasions (151595, $21). I stamped in melon mambo and then cut it out using the much used Stitched Rectangle Dies (148551, $35). My multipurpose liquid glue was handy so I used little dots of that to fix the die cut to the card – the fine tip glue pen would have been easier of course!

Detailed Hearts Die

This week I’m focusing on the Detailed Hearts Die which is a single die (151440, $29) which makes a really striking card.

Here I cut it out in very vanilla. If you have issues getting it to cut nicely, add a shim of card stock which will help. I then ran various colors through, several colors at a time so that I could collect colored hearts. I used melon mambo, mango melody, pacific point, rich razzleberry and Bermuda bay. Then I glued the heart frame to a very vanilla thick card base and then added a number of the colored hearts.

Power of Hope

I decided to use just the Power of Hope stamp set for this card and again used the Birthday Bonanza DSP to dress up my lady’s kimono.

I stamped the lady on very vanilla and glued on her kimono. I then stamped the lanterns in Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile and added a hand drawn string between them. The sentiment, also from the Power of Hope set, was stamped in Terracotta Tile – the same color as the card base. The mat is Grapefruit Grove so it all coordinates.

Power of Hope bundle

This week I’m focusing on the Sale-a-bration Power of Hope bundle which consists of a stamp set and a 3D embossing folder. Free with an order of $100. I love Sale-a-bration!

I embossed a piece of Bermuda Bay with the embossing folder and put that onto a Bermuda Bay card base. Then I stamped the lady on a piece of whisper white and also onto a piece of Birthday Bonanza DSP and snipped out the dress from the DSP. I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut out the lady stamped on the whisper white and attached that and glued on the lady’s dress. I used the Layering Ovals dies to cut out the sentiment.
