Hydrangea Hill DSP

I decided to do as I advised and am spending this week making cards with Hydrangea Hill DSP. It’s a beautiful pack of paper but contains some of the retired incolors and the paper isn’t retiring until the end of June. So I dragged Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose back out since the DSP is still current.

This gorgeous Hydrangea Hill DSP highlights Rococo Rose and I’ve matted it with Whisper White to make it pop. I discovered that the new Pale Papaya open weave ribbon echoed the orange color in the DSP. It was added with a knot before attaching to the Rococo Rose card base.

The sentiment comes from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set which was stamped in Rococo Rose and then cut out with Stitched So Sweetly dies. This was popped up using Stampin’ dimensionals.

I’ll be showing how to make this card in detail on Sunday at my 11am EDT Facebook Live and then uploading the video to YouTube.

Boho Indigo Product Medley

I’m continuing to show you 2 cards using the Boho Indigo Product Medley (153132) each day this week.  Today I’ve made a card using it to celebrate last year’s incolors; I reckon they’re feeling neglected at the moment! I’ve also made a simple birthday card.

The first card obviously is using the same vase stamp in Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider and BumbleBee which were then die cut. The sentiment was stamped directly onto a thick Whisper White card base and then the vases were added, some directly to the card and some popped up. The embellishments from the Medley provided the finishing touch.

The second card again shows the fabulous DSP (and I haven’t even used all the patterns yet!) matted in Misty Moonlight. I added a piece of knotted Misty Moonlight ribbon before placing it onto a Night of Navy card base.  The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight and cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and added to the card with dimensionals.

Come back tomorrow for some more samples…

Celebrate Sunflowers

This week I’m completely confused about what day it is and forgot to post this on Saturday as I had planned. I figured that nobody was going to be looking on Christmas Day itself! I was using just the Celebrate Sunflowers for this card.

The sunflowers and leaves were stamped in versamark to get a watermark look. I haven’t used this technique in ages, no idea why. I used the stamparatus to ensure a good well stamped image on the piece of Bumblebee card stock. This was then matted with early espresso. The sentiment was die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies and then attached to the Bumblebee ribbon. Once the ribbon was firmly attached, the layer was added to the whisper white card base and a bow added.

I demonstrated this card and 2 others yesterday at 11am on my regular Facebook Live. You can catch a replay or check it out on YouTube. Links below.

Celebrate Sunflowers bundle

This week I’m creating with the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle (154065, $51.25) which consists of the 8 piece Celebrate Sunflowers cling stamp set and the 9 piece Sunflower Dies.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Celebrate Sunflowers - Sunflower Dies

The sunflower was stamped in Mango Melody and then cut out with the dies. Next I used the wink of Stella to add sparkle and to spread the colour over the petals. Then a touch of the soft suede blend around the centre of the sunflower which was topped by a embossed and die cut piece of early espresso.

The sentiment which also comes from Celebrate Sunflowers was stamped in early espresso. A few glittery gems added finished off the card.

I’ll be demonstrating this card  and 2 others on Sunday at 11am on my regular Facebook Live.

Queen Anne’s Lace

Here’s the third card this week using the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set. I’ll be doing a Facebook Live today, Sunday at 11am EST as usual to demonstrate the three cards.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Queen Anne's Lace - Triple Banner punch

Here I used Pacific Point for my cardstock and heat embossed the stamps in silver, including the sentiment. I added a silver foil mat and left a large border of the pacific point. To create the banner, I used the triple banner punch and then popped it up with dimensionals.

If you place an retail order with me of over $25, using the host code, I’ll send you 5 handmade cards, possibly including one made with Queen Anne’s Lace.
