Birthday Bouquet DSP

I’m continuing to look at the mound of DSP and trying to use it to make space for more DSP that I know will be on the way to me in the next couple of months!  I was playing with the hexagon punch at the weekend and, having recently used a circle as a stencil, I decided to cut a number of circles in DSP and see where I ended up. The Birthday Bouquet looked right for this and I cut a few circles out of one of the sheets and decided to use both sides on a card. With about 7 weeks to go before the 2014-2016 in colours retirement, I discovered that I love mossy meadow and watermelon wonder together.

I positioned one of the circles off the card (the trimmer makes it easy to get a good right angle on the paper) and then added the other circle to the card. The sentiment comes from the Sale-a-bration set, Party Pants. It’s one of my current favourite “Happy Birthday to you” images and it’s stamped in watermelon wonder. I cropped it with a 1.5″ circle punch and popped it up with stampin’ dimensionals. The piece of whisper white was then glued to a mossy meadow card base. Then I decided to add some mossy meadow enamel dots (they were in the holiday catalogue and were mostly unused!) Don’t the colours go beautifully? You’re going to miss mossy meadow too, aren’t you?

I used the same paper to line the envelope using the envelope liners framelits to cut it out. There. That’s used up almost a third of a piece of DSP. There’s still a LOT to go! Take a look at your stash and use some up ready for the new catalogue. You know you’re going to be buying more soon!

See you tomorrow,

Liz
