A dozen thoughts for the Pals challenge

This week the challenge at the Pals Paper Arts is a colour one, my favourite kind of challenge.

Stampin' Up! Bright and Beautiful and A Dozen Thoughts

Here’s the challenge banner which inspired this card

I had the A Dozen Thoughts set out for the previous card that I was creating and noticed the Wish Big sentiment. I really love the typeface and decided to use it on this card. And then the whole Disney “wish upon a star” idea occurred to me and the card developed from there.

I stamped the middle sized star from the Bright and Beautiful set in versamark onto the garden green card stock before sprinkling over the gold embossing powder and heating it. I then did the same for the sentiment. I mounted this card onto a piece of basic black which is 3/16 inch larger in both dimensions thus giving a border of 3/32 inch around the green. I mounted this onto the garden green card base; there’s a border of half an inch of garden green around the basic black. I finished by lining the envelope using the Backgrounds DSP from the Regals family in garden green.

See you tomorrow,

Liz

Really pretty, Liz, and the gold embossing just “pops” right out on the Garden Green CS! Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts this week.

Thanks Dawn. I think I may be addicted to gold embossing – but it’s a pretty harmless vice!

Thanks Michelle. I am finding that I have a natural rebellious streak that always makes me want to go in different direction!
