Texture Chic Specialty DSP

The week I’m focusing on the Texture Chic Specialty DSP with a bit of help from the new set Charming Sentiments. This is a specialty DSP which obviously means that it’s special. Here it means gold foil on one side of all the sheets.

It was difficult to decide which pattern to start with but I finally decided on this one. It’s so pretty I wanted to really show it off. So here is a rectangle of the DSP matted in gold foil.

Next the sentiment from Charming Sentiments was heat embossed in gold on to a Pool Party card base. Finally the matted DSP was added to the card. Defintely a clean and simple card.

I’ll be showing this card plus 2 more using this DSP at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. If you share my live, I’ll add you to my raffle. I also upload the video to YouTube in case you prefer that medium.

Celebrating In Color Alternative

I just noticed that I neglected to publish my third alternative for the Celebrating in Color paper pumpkin kit. So here it is.Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - May 22 Paper Pumpkin - Celebrating In Color Alternative

I lined up the stamp by hand since the stamparatus would have put them too far apart. I just concentrated on the left hand upright on the H to help with lining them up and of course it’s a photopolymer stamp.

I used Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Night of Navy. Then I used blends to colour in a single letter in each color. Here is when I discovered that Gorgeous Grape doesn’t exist in blends so I used the dark Highland Heather as a substitute. After each letter was coloured I added Wink of Stella to give some sparkle.

I showed all 8 cards that I made with this kit at my Facebook Live at 11am Eastern on the 5th.  Share my live and get added to the raffle.

Celebrating In Color Alternative

This week I’m showcasing this month’s Paper Pumpkin – Celebrating in Color.  Here’s my second alternative card.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - May 22 Paper Pumpkin - Celebrating In Color Alternative

This is so simple that there’s barely anything to say! The gold foil decorated card base is in the kit and was designed for the Sweet Sorbet card but I’ve already made one of those.

So all I did was add the sentiment “Just for” on top of the you in tuxedo black.

I’ll show all cards that I’ve made with this kit at my Facebook Live at 11am Eastern tomorrow.  Share my live and get added to the raffle.

Celebrating In Color Alternative

This week I’m showcasing this month’s Paper Pumpkin – Celebrating in Color.  Today I’m presenting my first alternative card.

Here I used the card meant for the Orchid Oasis and punched out the circles. I also used a small circle die to grab the paper where it had gold foil. Waste not, want not!

I then added some gold embossed dots using the smallest stamp in the kit onto an Orchid Oasis card base.

All that was left was construction. The circles were adhered to the card base and the sentiment was popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll show all cards that I’ve made with this kit at my Facebook Live at 11am Eastern on Sunday.

Celebrating In Color

This week I’m showcasing this month’s Paper Pumpkin – Celebrating in Color.  Today I’m presenting the last two incolors – Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party. Stampin’ Up! included some of the new mat dots in the kit – I LOVE them!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - May 22 Paper Pumpkin - Celebrating In Color

The first card is the Parakeet Party one and I actually did it more or less as instructed. As I did yesterday, I changed the basic grey to the matching incolor for the sentiment. I then added 3 Parakeet Party dots rather than the mixture shown in the instructions. I used a metal ruler to help line up the strips.

The second card is the Tahitian Tide one and the kit makes it very simple. The card base already has all the gold dots and banner so all you need to do is attach the banner and add the sentiment.

Somehow I picked up the other “Happy” sentiment but this works. I’ve put the second half of the sentiment inside the card stamped in Tahitian Tide. I chose to stamp “to celebrate your day” inside the card.

I used wink of Stella on the Happy – it shows up much better in person than in a photograph. Just a little sparkle! I also added three of the matching mat dots.

I’ll show all 5 at my Facebook Live at 11am Eastern on Sunday. I’ll also show some alternatives.
