New Horizons DSP

The product that I’m featuring this week is the New Horizons DSP with  sentiments from the On the Horizon stamp set. As I mentioned previously, I really love this DSP which will be retiring at the end of the month. So I wanted to show more of the designs – I’ll be showing one per day until Sunday.  I also love Misty Moonlight and that color is in the DSP so I’m using it here.

The New Horizons DSP was cut to 5 1/4 by 4 inches as with the earlier cards. Then the sentiment, from On the Horizon was stamped in Misty Moonlight. I also added the birds in Misty Moonlight – actually I’ve just noticed that they are upside down but it doesn’t seem to matter! Finally this was added to a Misty Moonlight card base. And that’s all that’s needed in my opinion.

As you can see, these are very simple cards. You could add embellishments or ribbon but I think it would detract from the gorgeous paper.

I’ll be making a number of cards using this DSP at my Facebook Live mini class on Sunday at 11am as usual. I’ll also upload the video to YouTube. If you share my live, I’ll add you to my raffle.

I checked this morning and the DSP is still available but I wouldn’t wait.

Hues of Happiness DSP

This week’s product of the week is Happiness Abounds and I’ve also pulled in some of the Hues of Happiness DSP.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Hues of happiness DSP - Stitched Rectangle Dies

This is a very simple card. I cut a piece of the Hues of Happiness DSP and took my time deciding which side to use. This paper is really fun.

Since the DSP was cut at 4 by 5 1/4 all it needed was to be put onto a card base. I used Granny Apple green for the card base to match some of the leaves.

I believe that this is the first time I’ve used the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangle dies. It really matches the sentiment, stamped in Granny Apple Green perfectly. Finally the sentiment strip was attached using dimensionals.

I made this card plus two others using the Happiness Abounds set on my Facebook Live this morning. Take a look at the replay or watch on YouTube. If you share my live, I’ll add you to next week’s raffle.

Happiness Abounds

This week’s product of the week is Happiness Abounds and I’ve used three of the new 2022-2024 in colors on this card – Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet.

The images were stamped up the right hand side of the white layer, each image being in one color. I think it looks more harmonious that way – and of course saves on stamp cleaning!

Next the layer was added to a white card base. Then the sentiment was stamped in Orchid Oasis and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. This was then added to the card using dimensionals.

Finally, I used the Orchid Oasis dark blend to color some basic rhinestones which were added to the card.

I’ll be making this card plus two others using the Happiness Abounds set on my Facebook Live on Sunday 11am Eastern. Join me or watch the replay or watch on YouTube. If you share my live, I’ll add you to next week’s raffle.
