Incolors – Soft Succulent

I made a card last week using Evening Evergreen and the Love of Leaves bundle and it occurred to me that a set of those in the new incolors would be excellent. It was obviously meant to be since there are 5 new incolors and 5 different leaves. And so here is my Incolors – Soft Succulent card.

First I used the Stitched Leaves dies to cut out the leaf shape and then matted it on Very Vanilla. After matting it, I added the stamped sentiment which comes from Love of Leaves. A strip of the 2021-2023 incolor 6 by 6 paper was added to the Soft Succulent card base and then the matted piece was added on top. A bow in the new open weave 3/8 inch ribbon was added with the glue dot and a sprinkle of the 2021-2023 in color jewels were added.

I think I said recently that the in color jewels were going to be popular. Currently they are unavailable but expected to the warehouse the week of May 24th.

Love of Leaves bundle

I’m continuing to use the Stitched Leaves dies part of the Love of Leaves bundle along with Evening Evergreen, one of the new in colors.

I am really excited about Evening Evergreen; it’s such a rich green. It’s helping me get over the retirement of Pretty Peacock.

First I die cut one of the leaves in Evening Evergreen using the Stitched Leaves dies which, as suggested by the name, provides a stitched border. This was matted on Very Vanilla and then the sentiment from Love of Leaves was stamped in Evening Evergreen. Normally I would do the sentiment stamping before constructing the card, but here I needed to be sure about placement. Finally, this was adhered to an Evening Evergreen card base.

Join me on Facebook at 11am EDT today when I’ll be holding a mini class to show how to make this week’s cards.

Love of Leaves bundle

Continuing on with using the Stitched Leaves dies part of the Love of Leaves bundle along with some of the new in colors.

I used a number of the embossing dies on both Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen and then die cut them using the Stitched Leaves dies. I love the embossing on the leaves. They were then arranged on a white card base.

The sentiment, from the Love of Leaves set, is stamped on more Soft Succulent in Evening Evergreen and cut out with the Painted Labels dies. It was popped up with dimensionals and a Evening Evergreen bow was added. The finishing touch were some Evening Evergreen in-color jewels .

Love of Leaves bundle

I’ve used the Love of Leaves stamp set before, but I didn’t really explore the dies – this week I intend to remedy that.

I used the embossing die on a piece of the new incolor Pale Papaya and then cut it out using the Stitched Leaves dies. Then I sponged some So Saffron and Mango Melody onto the leaf followed by Wink of Stella. This was layered onto a piece of Very Vanilla which was matted with Pale Papaya

The sentiment, from Love of Leaves, is stamped on Very Vanilla and cut out with the Stitched so sweetly dies. It was popped up with dimensionals and a Pale Papaya bow was added. The finishing touch were some in-color jewels again in Pale Papaya.

Vine Design Bundle

This week I’m using the Vine Design Bundle (156266, $55.75) from the January to June mini catalog which consists of the Vine Design stamp set and the Flowering Vine dies.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Vine Design Bundle - Vine Design - Flowering Vine Dies - Stitched so Sweetly Dies

There was a lot of die cutting with this card. First the vine in Evening Evergreen and then the flowers stamped in Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia. Using the multipurpose liquid glue, the flowers were attached to the vine after which the vine was glued to a Whisper White layer. Before adding this to the Polished Pink card base, a piece of ribbon was wrapped around the card.

The sentiment, also from Vine Design was stamped in Polished Pink and die cut using the Flowering Vines dies. The die cut was popped up with dimensionals over the Polished Pink ribbon. Finally I added some of the brand new – and gorgeous – 2021-2023 incolor jewels. I haven’t used the Elegant Faceted gems all week!

I’ll be making this and the other 2 cards on Facebook at 11am EST today. Come and join me, share my Live and I’ll enter you into a raffle. If you prefer YouTube, please subscribe to my channel.
