Field Journal

This week I’m focusing on the cling stamp set Field Journal (152609, $22). It’s a lovely set of line drawings with a few sentiments.

The line drawing was stamped in Smoky Slate stamped off once first. The image was coloured using watercolor pencils with a blender pen to smooth out the pencil lines. Colours used were cherry cobbler, old olive and early espresso. The image was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and then popped up with dimensionals on top of a layer embossed with the Subtles TIEF.

A skinny layer of old olive provided a frame and that was adhered to a thick whisper white card base. Finally the sentiment was stamped in old olive, cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and glued in the corner.

I’ll be demonstrating this card along with 2 others at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST.

Zany Zebras Embossed

Here’s the third card that I made this week and also in my Facebook Live this morning. This week I’m using the fun Zany Zebras stamp set (152536; $19), an 11 piece cling stamp set.

It’s very easy to make simple and effective cards with this stamp set. This one is heat embossing all of the zebras in gold scattered across the card and then layering it on a Merry Merlot card base. The sentiment also comes from the Zany Zebras set and is stamped in Merry Merlot on Very Vanilla card stock and then die cut using the Rectangle Stitched dies. Stampin’ dimensionals were used to provide some dimension.

Zany Zebras

Here’s my second card using Zany Zebras (152536; $19) this week. Such a fun stamp set.

The background is the non snowflake side of the Snowflake Splendor DSP. I love using Christmas packs of DSP for other purposes! The stamping was done in Highland Heather and I added a bow in the Snowflake Splendor ribbon. It’s really more sparkly than it looks here and it has hints of highland heather in it. Finally it was mounted onto an Highland Heather card base.

I’ll be demonstrating this card, along with 2 others using Zany Zebras, at my Facebook Live at 11am EST on Sunday. Join me then.

Zany Zebras

This week I’m playing with the adorable Zany Zebras stamp set (152536; $19), an 11 piece cling stamp set.

It’s a delightful set to use to whip up a few birthday cards which I appear to be short of. The zebras are stamped in Misty Moonlight on whisper white and then two sentiments were used to make the popped up greeting. The rectangle stitched dies were used to cut out the greeting. Finally, the whisper white layer was adhered to a Misty Moonlight card base.

I’ll be demonstrating this card, along with 2 others using Zany Zebras, at my Facebook Live at 11am EST on Sunday. Join me then.
