A Happy Home fest

I’m really enjoying playing with the Happy Home stamp set – and I haven’t even pulled out the coordinating window die yet. I was contemplating joining two of the scenes together again but the bench and clouds doesn’t lend itself to that since the clouds would be rather out of proportion. So I decided to go super simple and make a very CAS card; black and white with just a touch of colour.

I used the ordinary whisper white card as usual for layers on my card. I only use the extra thick for card bases. Whilst it might be simpler to just have one type of whisper white, I stocked up a while ago so I am still working through my stash. I stamped the two images from Happy Home using the archival basic black ink and the stamp-a-ma-jig for placement. It’s very clear when using the stamp-a-ma-jig that the basic black is an enduring ink – if you don’t clean the plastic fairly quickly you end up needed the stazon cleaner to get the stamp-a-ma-jig plastic clean!

I then used an aquapainter to give a little wash of pear pizzazz to the hill. I’d decided that I wanted a large pear pizzazz border so I’d just kept trimming down the piece of whisper white until I had the size that I wanted. Then I mounted this on a piece of basic black card stock to give a narrow border and added that to a pear pizzazz card base.

The envelope is lined with the subtles DSP stack in pear pizzazz using the envelope liners framelits to cut it out.

See you tomorrow,
