Awesome joining offer ending tonight

The fantastic joining offer going on right now ends tonight – it really is Christmas in July!

Christmas in July

There’s the usual really great deal whereby you select $125 worth of product for just $99 with free shipping. But on top of that, during July Stampin’ Up! adds an Essentials Kit automatically. It contains:

Paper Snips

Grid Paper

2 D blocks

Snail adhesive

Bone folder

This is an added value of $52 but as if this isn’t enough, they are ALSO adding a set that is only on pre-order currently for demonstrators, Carols for Christmas ($20 value). So that’s actually $197 of product for $99 with free shipping  (the shipping on $197 would be $19.70) plus supplies in case you want to build a business. Here’s the stamp set:

I welcome business builders or hobbiests – I started this because I wanted a discount on my hobby. Once you join, you get an instant 20% discount with the ability to push that to 25% quite easily. And as long as you stay in good standing ($300 of sales per quarter where sales to yourself count), you continue to get your discount. If you don’t want to continue, just stop. It’s that easy. No issues. The first partial quarter doesn’t count, so joining now would mean that you have until the end of the year to get your sales to $300.

If you’re interested and would like to chat – send me an email quickly and we can chat!

The bonus days deal where you get a $5 coupon for each $50 spent (redeemable in August) also ends tonight.

Please use the Stampin’ Rewards code to get five FREE handmade cards; the current Stampin’ Rewards code is ZDSGJ9U3 (if your order is over $150, don’t use the code, you get the rewards, but you still get the free cards). In addition, if you spend $50 this month, I’ll send you the metallic sequin assortment. Click here to go to my online shop or here to join my team. To sign up for Paper Pumpkin, click here. Happiest of Days

I think I’ve mentioned that I love the Happiest of Days stamp set. It really lends itself to elegant cards. Today’s is using the same two stamps as the last time, but it’s a totally different card.

I stamped the images in fresh fig easily by putting them on the same block and then used powder pink ink and a blender pen for the decoration and candles. The daffodil delight watercolor pencil and the blender pen coloured in the cake. I cropped the piece of watercolor paper as small as possible so that I could get a deep border of the rich fresh fig and still allow a powder pink mat. The finishing touch was provided by the 2017-2019 in color bitty bows. I overlooked these the first time through the catalog but they are awesome (and pre-tied for anyone who is bow challenged).

A Little Wild Bundle

Today I’m sharing one of the Stampin’ Up! videos. Here Donna shows off the adorable A Little Wild bundle. It’s a bundle that has a very easy way of making tags – cutting both the front and back out together – but the elements are also perfectly at home on a card too. I couldn’t resist this bundle, so you’ll be seeing some examples soon. If you’re a wood mount person, the bundle earns you a $5 coupon, if you’re a clear mount, you will need to add a little something to get there. Enjoy the video.

There are just THREE days left in July which means that there are only 3 days left for the two awesome promotions mentioned below. Don’t miss out!

Up and Away Thinlits Dies

I’ve been meaning to play with challenges lately but I just haven’t quite got around to it. So today, I’m just sliding in under the wire to join Jaydee’s sketch challenge at The Paper Players. I’m mixing some old with some new; I felt it was time that the beautiful Up and Away Thinlits Dies had an outing and that led to the rest of the card. And as long as glitter is okay, it’s also a masculine birthday card.

Here’s the sketch which inspired my card

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Up and Away Thinlits Dies Happy Birthday Gorgeous

I started by adding the dazzling diamonds glitter to the embossing paste and then used the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to make my clouds. A strip of soft sky allowed me to add my tranquil tide sentiment without really breaking up the sky – I think this is one of my new favourite sentiments, it’s from the set Happy Birthday Gorgeous. This set also has balloons but they weren’t dramatic enough for what was in my head. So I used the Up and Away thinlits dies to cut out two large detailed tranquil tide balloons which I stacked on top of each other and I also attached the pieces behind it in soft sky (also cut with the same framelits). I didn’t think that it made sense to see the clouds through the balloon. The extra layer of cardstock behind the balloon also made it lay flat on top of the card since I only built up the balloon where it wasn’t on my horizontal strip and the two detailed balloons stacked on top of each other gave more of a three dimensional look.

Flourishing Phrases

Sympathy cards aren’t much fun to make (although I do believe that making the card yourself is important, but that’s because I feel that way about all cards!) but we do at least have some sets that make it easier. Here I’m featuring Flourishing Phrases which has this beautiful floral image and many sentiments for all occasions.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Flourishing Phrases

I stamped the image on very vanilla in wisteria wonder (wow – there’s not a new in color to be seen today!)  and did the same with the sentiment. The top layer is half a inch smaller than the card base and I added a wisteria wonder layer which is just 1/8 inch larger than the top layer. The card needed just a little something extra and adding pearls to the buds of the floral image was the perfect addition. Flourishing Phrases is a recent acquisition – I can see that I’ll be using it a lot.
