Would you like a taste of the new paper without having to buy it all? I thought you might!

This post might be slow to load but I wanted to show you big pictures of the paper. If you bought all of this it would cost $183 including shipping and tax. If you’d like half a sheet of each of the papers, I can give it to you for $40 if you pick it up or $48 shipped. I’ll include 14 tutorials of new suites to sweeten the deal too.

Just let me know if you’re interested.

Delightfully Detailed Laser cut designer series paper

I liked the powder pink version of this card so much that I wanted to try out a few other cardbase colours. Here’s mango melody with a sentiment from Hello Cupcake stamped in the same colour ink.

Liz Bailey - My Elegant Cards - Delightfully Detailed laser cut DSP - Hello Cupcake

Here’s mint macaron with the gold embossed sentiment from Part of my story. I made the frame bigger since it felt like the sentiment needed more space. I added a piece of gold foil behind the sentiment cut out using the oval dies.

Liz Bailey - My Elegant Cards - Delightfully Detailed laser cut DSP- Part of my story

The Delightfully Detailed laser cut DSP has 8 sheets, 4 each of 2 designs. One of the designs has 6 panels and I cut these out (carefully cutting off the other strips so that I can use them later). I added a couple of dots of multipurpose glue to hold it in place on the powder pink cardbase and then added a frame cut with the rectangular stitched framelits dies (LOVE these – $35 for 13 double stitched rectangles) using very vanilla. I added a good amount of snail to the back of the frame and that holds the DSP nicely in place. All that was left was to stamp the sentiment from Part of my story (a Saleabration offering, that isn’t available anymore but you could use any sentiment) and emboss in gold.

We loved this card so much that I made a few more during the class using different panels from the DSP.

Aren’t they lovely and so easy to make a number quite easily. So the question is which do you like the best? Or do you prefer the powder pink one from earlier?

Delightfully Detailed Laser cut designer series paper

I had a card class last night – I was having too much fun to remember to take photos! – and we enjoyed a chocolate orange cake. But this isn’t a cookery blog!  One of the cards that I was super pleased with was also much admired especially for the ease of production. I got the idea for a frame from Selene Kempton I believe.

I did another card to use up the rectangle that was cut out which also has stitching on it.

Perfectly Paired in pastels

I liked the Perfectly Paired baby card from Sunday (which I coloured with blends) so much that I decided to make another  only this time using watercolour pencils for a more traditional look. I have 2 work colleagues who are expecting in April so I need some more!

Perfectly Paired in pastels

I laid down the colour and then used a blender pen to smooth out the pencil lines, adding more when necessary. This time I used an early espresso mat on top of the petal pink card base. Page down and see the one coloured with blends, which do you prefer?

The blends are more intense and easy to get the colour down. But the pencils are easier to avoid colour  bleeding and therefore easier to use.

It’s a great set for baby cards, Perfectly Paired, 148712 for $19.
