I created a mask which the stamparatus held in place – otherwise use rulers and releasable tape. Then using the blending brushes I added Lost Lagoon, Orchid Oasis and a hint of Starry Sky. Finally a little more Lost Lagoon was added to the whole strip  to help with the blending.

The leaves were stamped in Pretty Peacock as was the sentiment from Tropical Leaf.

Finally a few of the Starry Sky 2022-2024 in color Festive Pearls were added.

I will be making this card, along with 2 others using this set on my Facebook Live on Sunday eastern at 11am. You can watch live, see the replay or check it out on YouTube.

When you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut card stock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle for a free embellishment plus a card.

Tropical Leaf

This week I’m making non-Christmas cards and today I’m using the Tropical Leaf set.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tropical Leaf

The leaf image was stamped in  Lost Lagoon and then anointed with clear Wink of Stella. You may be able to see the sparkle. Next the spines and partial stem of the leaf were stamped in Pretty Peacock. The white layer was matted with Pretty Peacock and positioned so that the sentiment could be stamped.

As I’ve mentioned before, I like to use a layer for positioning in this situation. Although stamping mistakes can be fixed, there’s more scope if the focus piece isn’t already stuck down. So the sentiment from Tropical Leaf was stamped in Pretty Peacock and then the layer was added to the card. A few light green Festive Pearls were colored with the dark Pretty Peacock blend and added.

The leaves were punched out of Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon. The Lost Lagoon ribbon was woven around one of the leaves and tied in a bow. Next the three leaves were added to a Basic White card base with the be-ribboned one popped up with dimensionals.

The sentiment from Tropical Leaf was stamped in Lost Lagoon and a few of the green Festive Pearls were added.

Joy of Christmas DSP

This week I’m making Christmas cards using the Joy of Christmas DSP and here’s the third one.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Joy of Christmas DSP - Christmas Classics

Here I cut a 5 1/2 by 2 inch piece of the Joy of Christmas DSP. It was then layered onto a piece of Basic White cut to 5 1/2 by 2 3/8 inches. These layers were then added to a Cherry Cobbler card base.

The sentiment from Christmas Classics was stamped at the bottom of the label in Shaded Spruce. The label measures 3 by 2 1/8 and is matted with Shaded Spruce cut to 3 1/8 by 2 1/4. The holly was stamped above it, also in Shaded Spruce. The two corners were stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

Next the Garden Green watercolor pencil was used to shade in the holly and blended and sparkled with wink of Stella. in Real Red on Basic White. . Finally some red Festive Pearls were added. This was added to the card along with 3 red Festive Pearls for the holly berries. I coloured a few of the pale green Festive Pearls using the dark Shaded Spruce blend and added them aswell.

I will be making this card, along with 2 others using this set on my Facebook Live on Sunday eastern at 11am. You can watch live, see the replay or check it out on YouTube.

The Joy of Christmas DSP is really beautiful. Here I cut a 4 1/2 by 4 1/4 inch piece. It was then layered it onto a piece of real red 4 11/16 by 4 1/4 inches. The layers were then added to a Basic White card base.

The sentiment from Christmas Classics was stamped in Real Red on Basic White. The label is 3 7/8 by 1.5 inches. After cutting to size, I added a couple of the corner images and added it to the card with some dimensionals. Finally some red Festive Pearls were added.
