Seascape bundle

This week I’m focusing on the Seascape bundle which consists of the Seascape stamp set and the Sea Life dies (158359, $46.75). I realised that I’ve been focused on the dies – and for good reason, they are marvellous. So I decided to base a card on the stamp set although I couldn’t resist adding a few of the fish in rainbow glimmer paper.

The card base is Sahara Sand with the sand stamped in Sahara sand also. Next the plants were stamped in Mossy Meadow and brought to life using Wink of Stella.

The sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. Finally I die cut a few fish out of the Rainbow glimmer paper and the dies let you cut two at a time. That were added to the card with dimensionals.

I made this card along with 2 others using the Seascape bundle on my Facebook Live at 11am EST this morning. Share my live and be added to next week’s raffle. It’s also been copied to YouTube.

This was a fun card to make, mostly just die cutting. The rainbow glimmer paper is so fun to use  and it’s clean too – no glitter getting everywhere. I ran the dies through the machine a few times to ensure that all the pieces came out nicely. Then it was just a matter of gluing all the pieces onto a Very Vanilla base.

After that I made a little sentiment strip and stamped in Magenta Madness. I matted just the edges with a piece of leftover Rainbow glimmer paper and added it with dimensionals.

I’ll be making this card along with 2 others using the Seascape bundle on my Facebook Live at 11am EST on Sunday. Join me there and get into my weekly raffle by sharing the live. Not on Facebook? I copy it to YouTube around noon.

This was a fun card to make – as well as being clean and simple. The fish was die cut into a white layer. Next the bubbles and sentiment, both from the Seascape set, were stamped in Mango Melody. This layer was then added to a Mango Melody card base. I love how the color shines through.

I’ll be making this card along with 2 others using the Seascape bundle on my Facebook Live at 11am EST on Sunday. Join me there and get into my weekly raffle by sharing the live. Not on Facebook? I copy it to YouTube around noon.

Pattern Party DSP

As I’ve mentioned, the Pattern Party DSP is at the back of the annual catalogue and can only be bought with host rewards. The 48 piece 12 by 12 inch DSP (4 each of 12 double sided designs) is a $30 value but costs just $18 of your host rewards. I’m using it this week to increase my birthday card stash. Here I’m using one of the 12 black and white patterns.

Cut a piece of the Pattern Party DSP to 5 1/2 by 2 inches and mat it with Poppy Parade using my ruler tip. Add this to a thick white card base – Basic or Whisper, whatever you have.

Next stamp the sentiment from Shaded Summer in Poppy Parade. Cut it out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and add it to the card using dimensionals.

Finally, use the dark Poppy Parade blend and colour a few basic rhinestones. Add them to the card; my preference is to use the Take Your Pick tool.

The Pattern Party DSP pack is excellent value and I suspect I’ll be returning to it soon. I’ve barely scraped the surface. The colors included are Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, Pale Papaya, Petal Pink, Pool Party & Poppy Parade. On the reverse side all the designs are black and white.

I’ll be demonstrating this card and 2 others later on at my Facebook Live at 11am EST. Join me then at my mini class where, for a $25 order, I’ll send you the card pieces needed to make these cards. I also upload it to YouTube.

Pattern Party DSP

You may not recognise the Pattern Party DSP; it’s at the back of the annual catalogue and can only be bought with host rewards. The 48 piece 12 by 12 inch DSP (4 each of 12 double sided designs) is a $30 value but costs just $18 of your host rewards. I’m using this week to increase my birthday card stash.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Pattern Party DSP - Elegantly Said

Cut a piece of the Pattern Party DSP to 5 1/2 by 2 inches. I like to then hold it in place to decide where the sentiment needs to be stamped. I’m using the Shaded Summer stamp set for sentiments and this was stamped in Flirty Flamingo on the same color card base.

Next add the DSP – I like to use a ruler to ensure that the DSP is properly at the edge of the card. As long as the DSP is cut straight, it should also ensure that the DSP is placed perfectly horizontally. I’m the first to admit that it doesn’t always work – especially when you get your fingers stuck to the glue and you pull it out of whack!

Next stamp the focal point in versamark, sprinkle white embossing powder and heat. Mat the Flirty Flamingo with white and add to the card with dimensionals. Finally add a few gems – here I’ve used the Pastel Pearls.

If Flirty Flamingo isn’t your favourite color (it isn’t mine but I like it here) there are plenty of different colors in the Pattern Party DSP pack. The colors are Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, Pale Papaya, Petal Pink, Pool Party & Poppy Parade. On the reverse side all the designs are black and white.

I’ll be demonstrating this card and 2 others on Sunday at my Facebook Live at 11am EST. Join me then at my mini class where, for a $25 order, I’ll send you the card pieces needed to make these cards. I also upload it to YouTube.
