Joyful Holly

I’m using the Joyful Holly stamp set this week which is a 7 piece photopolymer stamp set (153440, $17).

Here I’m using shaded spruce and poppy parade and my stamparatus – not that I’m doing the two step stamping here, but since the holly stamps were already on the stamparatus plate, it seemed easy to just use it here. This time the holly berries stamp came into play. This layer was matted on gold foil with the beautiful poppy parade and gold ribbon being sandwiched between the two and then placed on a poppy parade card base. The ribbon comes as a pair -the All the Trimmings Ribbon combo pack has poppy parade and old olive ribbons.

The sentiment also comes from the Joyful Holly stamp set and is stamped in poppy parade. The stitched shapes framelits dies were used to cut it out and then it was popped up with dimensionals with a bow using the same ribbon.

I’ll be demonstrating this card along with 2 others using this set on Sunday at 11am EST. Come and join me.

Joyful Holly

I’m using the Joyful Holly stamp set this week which is a 7 piece photopolymer stamp set (153440, $17) which includes some 2 step stamping for which I recommend a stamparatus.

Here I’m using shaded spruce and poppy parade and my stamparatus to get the Joyful Holly images lined up. Once you have them lined up, it’s easy to make multiples. I didn’t want to risk using the berries stamp and so used a poppy parade marker. Colouring is always relaxing. The sentiment also comes from the Joyful Holly stamp set.

Next the stamped layer was matted with shaded spruce and then added to a very vanilla card base. And that is it. Super simple and easy to produce a stack. You could dress it up with ribbon or jewels but I prefer the more simple look.

Press On again

Here’s the third card using the Press On stamp set for this week. All three are simple – and hopefully elegant – and quick to make so that you can have some encouraging cards on hand. The three cards were demonstrated this morning on my Facebook Live at 11am.

The halo, or whatever it is, is heat embossed in gold. The cup and the beans were stamped in early espresso with a little poppy parade heart on the cup. I layered the very vanilla layer simply with an early espresso mat and then glued that to a very vanilla card base. The sentiment was also heat embossed in gold then cut out with the Stitched Rectangles dies and popped up with dimenstionals.

Apparently I wrote this but didn’t publish it – sorry about that.

Press On

Here’s card number 2 using the Press On stamp set which is all about coffee. Now who doesn’t love coffee?!

The main image and then steam were stamped using early espresso since it’s the only coffee named colour that we have!  The stamped heart, sentiment and card base are all in poppy parade. The very vanilla top layer was matted in early espresso. The sentiment obviously also comes from Press On and was die cut using my favourite Stitched Shapes Dies. It’s a simple card (my favourite) and quick to make.

I’ll be demonstrating this card on my Facebook Live next Sunday at 11am.

Press On

This week I’m exploring the Press On stamp set which is all about coffee. Possibly an odd choice since I took a couple of extra days off work and I don’t need the coffee – although I did enjoy sitting, looking out of the window and sipping a cup. Very relaxing.

The 5 cups are a single stamp which was inked up in early espresso – had to be really, right? The poppy parade stampin’ write marker was an easy way to add a little color. I then cut out using the Rectangle Stitched dies and glued it onto the top layer. Next was a poppy parade mat and an early espresso card base. The sentiment obviously also comes from Press On and this time I used the Stitched Shapes Dies. The final touch was the poppy parade and gold ribbon which is part of the All The Trimmings ribbon combo pack.

I’ll be demonstrating this card on my Facebook Live next Sunday at 11am.
