Rose Garden Thinlits Dies

I’m continuing the illusion that I’m totally prepared for Christmas by making a non-Christmas card. Truth be told, I still haven’t wrapped a thing and I’m WAY behind on sending Christmas cards. It’s not even as if I’m short of them. If I send some today, they’ll make it to the UK on time, right?

Stampin' Up! Pretty Petals DSP stack and Rose Garden thinlits dies

This started because my sister was playing with the rose garden dies in rose red and I liked how it looked so I cut one out too. I had been flipping through the Pretty Petals DSP stack which is full of gorgeous patterns (I’m trying not to ignore the annual catalogue) and decided that this one in old olive would be great with the cut out. Except there was too much of a gap on the bottom right hand of the card and I didn’t want to add a sentiment so I cut out a branch of leaves with another die in the Rose Garden set, trimmed it down, flipped it over after burnishing it with my bone folder and added it so that there was no need for a sentiment. I then mounted this onto a cardbase of rose red. I’d say this was easy except it is a bit fiddly, gluing the die down so it’s not a fast card. I think it’s worth it though.

See you tomorrow when I will hopefully be ready for Christmas!
