Paper Pumpkin March 2016 Alternate

So here’s my first Paper Pumpkin March 2016 alternate idea. I decided that I didn’t need to make all the special envelopes to hold the gift card holders (they could go inside the card) and I could repurpose the DSP that was the inside of the envelope. I cut the flaps off the envelope and cut down the DSP so that I could add a skinny mat of pool party and then add this to a card base of bermuda bay. I know that I said yesterday that I as planning on using more bermuda bay soon, but I didn’t expect to do it quite so quickly! I guess the Pocketful of Cheer kit this month has inspired me or at least playing with the Paper Pumpkin kit means that the bermuda bay ink and cardstock are out on my table.

I used one of the precut squares from the kit and stamped the sentiment and the balloon separately. This was so that I could get them close enough together. One tip though – I laid the balloon stamp onto the card and then held the sentiment over so that I could get the location of the sentiment right. I realised that if I didn’t do that, I’d stamp the sentiment in the middle which wouldn’t be right after adding the balloon. I popped the square up with dimensionals and put it towards the bottom so that more of the uninterrupted DSP was showing.

Since I’d used the envelope as my DSP, I used an ordinary whisper white envelope and jazzed it up with a bermuda bay envelope liner.

See you tomorrow,
