Eastern Palace Specialty DSP

As I mentioned yesterday, the Eastern Palace bundles are available for customers today! I decided to play with some of the Eastern Palace Specialty DSP to show you some of the elegance. I went with a very simple layout to showcase 2 of the papers.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Eastern Palace DSP - Endless Birthday Wishes

So here I have one of the papers matted on one of the new colors, tranquil tide (love it – it’s a deeper lost lagoon!) and then a put onto another color that I love – fresh fig. It’s like a slightly less intense blackberry bliss if you know that color from last year. For my sentiment, I used my beloved Endless Birthday Wishes which I stamped in versamark and then fresh fig before sprinkling on the clear embossing powder and heating. I created the banner using the triple banner punch and used another piece of paper from the Eastern Palace Specialty DSP for matting, one of the specialty ones actually. I popped this up with dimensionals on my fresh fig card base.

Grateful Bunch and Blossom Bunch Punch

I was going to use the Grateful Bunch set and the Blossom Bunch punch today to lament the fact that they are on the retired list but when I checked out what I’ve shared already, there was so much that a new card would get lost. The good news is that although the blossom bunch punch is retiring, it’s currently at 50% off at $9. It’s really a no brainer! I’ve been using it lately for decoration on all kinds of projects. Here’s about a dozen that I’ve already shared showcasing the versatility of the stamp set and the punch.

As you can see, the punch is brilliant for adding little embellishments – either the small flowers on their own or building them up to be a more complex flower. Loads of fun.

Endless Birthday Wishes

Endless Birthday Wishes is retiring soon; it’s guaranteed to be available in the US until May 22nd but after that it’s as supplies last. This is possibly one of the most versatile sets that I have and I’m not sure how I’m going to live without it! When I need just a little sentiment, I can be sure to find what I need in this set whether it’s my favourite “celebrate” or a combination of the words to build up a saying. Or even matching it with the Hello You thinlits (also retiring – but as supplies last). I’ll need to examine the new catalog with a fine tooth comb to find a worthy replacement!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Endless Birthday Wishes - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies - Party Animal DSP

I stamped the cake in rose red and used a blender pen to pull a little of the ink before cutting it out with one of the stitched shapes framelits dies. My background is a little piece of Party Animal DSP, but of course any that you have to hand would do. I’m trying to use up my DSP so that I don’t feel so much of a hoarder when I buy more! I matted the DSP onto a piece of rose red card stock and glued that to a thick whisper white base. The Endless Birthday Wishes cake is popped up on dimensionals. The celebrate is of course my regularly used sentiment from the same set, in emerald envy to match the DSP. Easy card today and a formula that could be used to help use up a lot of DSP (although not much per card!).

Here are just a few of projects I’ve previously made with this set

Fruit Stand DSP

This is one of my favourite papers from the 2016-1017 catalog, the Fruit Stand DSP. And this is my favourite paper from within this stack. The lemons are so beautiful. The Fruit Stand DSP is still available at the time of writing, but there are no guarantees.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Fruit Stand DSP - Crazy about You - Hello You Thinlits Dies

I took a piece of pear pizzazz and cut it to a quarter inch under the card base ( 5 1/4 by 4 inches) and then took the DSP and cut it to an 1/8 inch under that. Before gluing everything together I cut out the big sentiment using the Hello You framelit dies out of pear pizzazz and then stamped the greeting in more pear pizzazz onto the DSP. I glued on the sentiment using my silicone craft mat, a dauber and multi purpose glue. The card base is daffodil delight. I am sad that the Hello You dies are retiring, I use them quite a bit. But I’m sure that there will be things to replace them.
