Good Tidings

Just popping in to wish you a Happy Christmas Eve – I hope that your preparations are going well. Here’s a quick card if you find yourself short and you need a little inspiration. It uses the Good Tidings stamp set as well as the cute little Christmas tree from the Watercolor Christmas set which coordinates with the Watercolor Christmas project kit.

Lightbulb Treat holders

Here’s the last 3D item that I made for my craft fairs – absolutely adorable Christmas lightbulb treat holders which hold a little candy. They use the now retired curvy keepsake framelits, a little glue and some scoring and you’re done. You could easily put these together in time to dress up your table (as long as you already have the dies that is!)

I found these on Lydia Fiedler’s blog, Understand Blue. Lydia is a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who really adores techniques; I encourage you to read her blog. Here’s her video showing how she made these.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

More Than Chocolate

Here’s another of the items that I made for the craft fair – a box full of foiled chocolate balls with a label from More Than Chocolate declaring that chocolate makes everything better. Well it does, doesn’t it? It’s an economical box since you can get 2 from a piece of cardstock but it also holds a lot of chocolate – 14 of them. Sam (Pootles) has a video showing her box and how to make it and you can view it here.

I made changes in the closure and the decoration. I added a strip of washi from the Year of Cheer specialty washi which I feel makes the box look really grand. I wrapped a belly band of ribbon around the box – berry burst – and then added a bow attached with glue dots. The sentiment is backed by a silver foil circle from the layering circles dies. I then added dimensionals down the centre of the circle and ensured that they only attached to the ribbon so that the belly band could slide off.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Hot Chocolate Treat Holder

Here’s a hot chocolate pouch that I made for my recent craft fair – I used retired DSP because I had some beautiful Christmas paper left from last year. This is the diaper fold and I used a sheet of paper 11 by 11 inches.

It’s very simple – a few folds, no glue and you have your pouch. I also made the same pouches with 6 by 6 inch paper and put 3 Dove nuggets inside.
