Merry Moments DSP

Here’s another card that Julia and I will probably be making soon in bulk. It’s not quite a simple as the ones earlier in the week, but it’s close and could be made simpler.

Stampin' Up! Merry Moments DSP and Mistletoe and Holly

This paper is the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper, or DSP as even my brother calls it! I’ve put a slim mat of mossy meadow behind it before mounting that onto an old olive card base. The greeting comes from last month’s Paper Pumpkin (this month’s has already shipped – I’m excited!), Mistletoe and Holly which I stamped in mossy meadow. I even made the white banner long enough for the snowflake element the first time – I would expect that I’d only think about the snowflake afterwards! But something wasn’t quite right and I left the card overnight to simmer. In the morning, I realized that the wooden snowflake wasn’t quite right and so I coated it with versamark and then the heat and stick powder. After heating that, I sprinkled gold glitter over the snowflake. That was much better. I did things slightly out of order – I was apparently so happy with the snowflake that I used a glue dot to fix it to the white banner. Only then did I glue on the mossy meadow mat and then use stampin’ dimensionals to pop it up! It would have been much easier in a more sensible order, but it worked. I purposely had the banner off the edge of the DSP, it looked (surprisingly for me) a little bit too ordered if it lined up precisely.

Here are all the supplies I used for this card – just click to add them to my online store and craft away!

See you tomorrow,
