Lighthearted Leaves sponged

I was playing with Lighthearted Leaves (again!) the other day and some sponges were out. I probably should put Lighthearted Leaves away and let another set keep grabbing my attention. Maybe!

Stampin' Up! Lighthearted Leaves

I stamped the image in my favourite archival basic black on whisper white. I love the crisp image that it gives but I’d advise getting the refill at the same time. It didn’t take long before my ink pad needed extra ink – perhaps because this is now my go to black and it gets a lot of use. Then using crushed curry, pumpkin pie and Cajun craze, I sponged colour onto the leaves which I then cut out using the matching framelits. The base is the extra thick whisper white (it’s so much better for card bases than the regular whisper white) and I stamped the sentiment from the Lighthearted Leaves set in the archival basic black first. The right hand leaf is glued to the base whereas the left hand one is popped up using stampin’ dimensionals. The card looks better in person since the extra dimension is more visible.

Welcome to my new blog follower, I’m glad you joined us.

See you tomorrow,
