Happy Halloween!

Today is going to be a great day – it’s Halloween, my sister arrives for a visit, and we have friends coming to dinner. We usually get 70 – 100 kids knocking at the door for candy so it’s going to be a fun evening, jumping up from the dinner table to answer the door. I thought it appropriate to show this card today.

crumb cake halloweeny

This uses the Stampin’ Up! set Mingle all the Way which I heat embossed in clear on a piece of crumb cake, after using my trusty embossing buddy. I cut it out with the labels framelit #3 (from the centre) and then made a border using framelit #4 in blackberry bliss and tangelo twist. I cut the tangelo twist so that I could pull it out horizontally to frame the blackberry bliss piece. I did have to do a little judicious trimming with my paper snips to stop the orange peeking out at the bottom. This framelit reminds me a little of a pumpkin. I then assembled all the pieces on a base of crumb cake. I’ve just realised that I now have crumb cake envelopes which would match rather better. I’ll have to swap it out.

Short post today – it’s time for a run and then I am off to the airport!

See you tomorrow,

Liz
