Happy Birthday Thinlits Die

How awesome is the Happy Birthday Thinlits die? I wanted to make a quick birthday card and after looking at a few stamp sets, decided to go with a DSP based card and then I remembered the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die. Perfect! It’s especially perfect because of the new product, the multipurpose adhesive sheets. They make it so simple to adhere fiddly dies – just cut out a piece of the sheet, peel off the backing paper and it sticks to your card stock. Cut out the shape that you’re after and then you just peel off the other side of the backing paper and you stick down your die cut. It’s brilliant. No excess glue anywhere.

The DSP that I chose was the Fresh Florals DSP stack in lemon lime twist. I really like how this colour pops with black and the way that the half inch wide lemon lime twist border pulls your eye into the centre. I have a feeling that night of navy would be awesome too – I’ll have to give that a try.

A glue tip for you: I used to use SNAIL all the time when I started carding and then moved onto the multipurpose liquid glue. Lately I’ve gone back to SNAIL for adhering DSP, whisper white and very vanilla layers – the liquid glue sometimes leaves visible marks where it has been spread.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.
