In Good Taste DSP

This week I’m focusing on one of the new designer series papers in the new annual catalog, In Good Taste DSP and this is the second card that I’ve shared using it. It’s such a great photograph that it really feels as if the texture is real and on the paper!

This card has a smaller border than Wednesday’s – I like to change them around and see what difference it makes – compare this one with Wednesday and let me know which border you like best.

I used early espresso for the skinny mat and put it on a rococo rose card base. The sentiment again comes from Peaceful Moments (I think you’re going to see a lot of this stamp set in the coming year!) and it’s stamped in early espresso. I used the Stitched so sweetly dies to cut this out and then added some champagne rhinestones for a little sparkle.

I’ll be demonstrating this card and two others on Sunday at 11am EST on Facebook (MyElegantCards) and I’ll also share it to YouTube

Beautiful Moments

Here’s another set that I hadn’t used – Beautiful Moments – but last night I easily made 3 cards, before succumbing to the temptation to use my preorder from the upcoming catalog. I was on a carding and chatting zoom with my friends and it was a great time.

I stamped the image in Sahara sand and then used various watercolor pencils – gorgeous grape, garden green and daffodil delight. Then I smoothed and blended the colour using the blender pens. The sentiment in gorgeous grape fitted perfectly in one of the little Rectangular Stitched framelits dies.

I added a garden green mat and put that on a gorgeous grape card base and then added some little butterflies – one of which I snipped out and popped up.

Seaside Notions

This week I’m having fun with the Seaside Notions stamp set; it’s an 11 cling stamp set (149278) for only $23.

I stamped the shells and sand in sahara sand and then added a frame also in sahara sand. First I used the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder and then the rectangular stitched dies to cut out the centre. I layered this onto a merry merlot card base and carried the same colour to the sentiment (also from Seaside Notions) which I cut out with the stitched shapes framelit dies.

Detailed Hearts die and Sprinkles

Here’s my second card this week using the Detailed Hearts die. I cut it out again in very vanilla but this time used the Pigment Sprinkles to create a fun background.

The sentiment comes from the really versatile Peaceful Moments set. It has 10 sentiments covering most occasions (151595, $21). I stamped in melon mambo and then cut it out using the much used Stitched Rectangle Dies (148551, $35). My multipurpose liquid glue was handy so I used little dots of that to fix the die cut to the card – the fine tip glue pen would have been easier of course!

Oh so Eclectic

I really love this card and I’m betting that my friend Nicki Read is having a laugh. You see, we saw the set Oh so Eclectic demonstrated at Onstage! in Amsterdam and then I won the set. And I really did not like it. I think it was just the cards that were demonstrated – they just weren’t to my taste. I even swapped my free set with my sister. LOL. And then I got the news about lung cancer and I’ve been receiving cards from friends from all over the place. Including this one from Nicki using Oh so Eclectic which I’ve now had to order having seen this beautiful card!

Oh so Eclectic

There’s so much to love about this card; the colours are marvellous and I love the large border of berry burst at the edge. The flowers are fun and since Nicki used the framelits, they are popped up on dimensionals. She even used my favourite Stitched Shapes framelits.

Don’t forget that we have bonus days running this month – you get a coupon for every $50 you spend. Don’t give up a 10% discount!
