In Good Taste DSP

This week I am focusing on the In Good Taste DSP which is retiring soon. It’s an extra large package (24 sheets) of pictures of walls, floors and textiles and is fun to use. I have a spare package and will send half to each of the first two people to place a $30 order with me.

Here you can see the amazing texture and although I chose to make a sympathy card, you could make any type. It’s extremely versatile. I have previously posted 3 cards made using this DSP so if you search for In Good Taste you should find them.

Today’s card is a 3 3/4 by 5 inch piece of the DSP which was stamped in Evening Evergreen. It was then matted with Evening Evergreen and attached to a white card base. Finally a few basic rhinestones were added.

Island Vibes

Here are the three cards that I made last week and demonstrated on Sunday at my live. I used Island Vibes and paired it with the Special Moments stamp set since it’s full of sentiments.

The image from Island Vibes and the sentiment from Special Moments were stamped in Soft Succulent. The stamped layer was matted with Soft Succulent and then added to a Whisper White card base.

Card two is using the Simply Marbleous DSP as well as Island Vibes and Special Moments. The 2 inch deep piece of the DSP was attached to a Whisper White card base and then the sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow.

The pineapple stamp was coloured using Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Up! Write markers. I breathed heavily on the stamp to moisten the ink and then stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White. This was matted in Mossy Meadow and attached to the card base.

Finally a few of the 2021-2023 in color jewels were added.

Here’s another card using Stampin’ Up! Write markers to color the stamp from Island Vibes. This time it’s Polished Pink and Soft Succulent on Whisper White. This was matted in Soft Succulent with a trio of the 2021-2023 Incolor Jewels added to the corner. Next the sentiment from Special Moments was stamped in Polished Pink. Finally the layer was added to the card.

I demonstrated these in Episode 103 on both Facebook and YouTube on Sunday.

UnChristmas Tidings DSP

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got Christmas paper that you didn’t use so this week I’m going to show you 3 cards made with the Christmas Tidings DSP that are not Christmassy. It’s a fun challenge.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tidings of Christmas DSP - Peaceful Moments - Layering Circle dies

Here I’ve used the DSP to make a sympathy card, not what I’d expect to use this paper pack for! I cut a piece of the Tidings of Christmas DSP to 3 3/4 by 5 inches and matted it with Evening Evergreen. I knotted a piece of the Evening Evergreen chevron ribbon and added it before putting it on a Sahara Sand card base.

The sentiment, from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, is stamped in  Evening Evergreen on Sahara Sand. I die cut using the Layering Circles Framelits dies and matted with the slightly larger scalloped circle in Evening Evergreen. It was added to the card with dimensionals which were placed either side of the ribbon to keep it steady.

I’ll be making this on Sunday along with two others using this Tidings of Christmas DSP on my Facebook Live. As a reminder, it’s on Sunday at 11am EST. Come and join me for a break from the Christmas festivities. Share my live and I’ll add you to my raffle for the following week.

Shaded Summer

This week’s product is the Shaded Summer cling set (155783, $23). I don’t make sympathy cards very often but my best customer bought all that I had so I need to restock.

I stamped the flower image in versamark and sprinkled on white embossing powder and heated. Next I used Melon Mambo and Old Olive watercolor pencils to color the image lightly. This was matted with Old Olive and added to a white card base.

Since Shaded Summer doesn’t have a sympathy sentiment, I grabbed this one from Peaceful Moments. It was stamped in Old Olive and die cut using the Layering Circles Framelits dies. It was a matted onto an Old Olive scallop cut with the same dies and popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll be making this card  plus 2 others at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST. Please join me.

Delicate Dahlias

Here’s the third card using the free Sale-a-bration item, Delicate Dahlias which requires an order of $100 to get as a freebie. Half of the images are in Stampin’ Up!’s Distinktive style and half are line drawings. Here I’m using the line style stamps.

For this card I inked up the dahlia stamp in Fresh Freesia. Next I added the leaves in Mossy Meadow. stamping off once on scrap  paper before stamping. The sentiment is full strength Mossy Meadow. The layer was matted with Mossy Meadow and then mounted on a Whisper White card base.

I showed how I made this and 2 others on my 11am Facebook Live this morning. I also copy my videos to YouTube.
