Beautiful Ride

I rarely share a card made completely with retired products, but last weekend I was away at a crop and one of my friends was busy making 149 Christmas cards. On Saturday night, she mentioned that she was leaving early the next day because it was her anniversary and oops, she didn’t have anything to make a card for her husband. So the rest of the table started grabbing stamp sets and paper stacks from bags and all sorts of supplies were perused and I said I’d make the card.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Beautiful Ride

The stamp set that made sense (because apparently Rich has been called love bug) was Beautiful Ride which I stamped twice – once on the whisper white cardstock and once on the DSP (the retired Love Blossoms DSP stack) which I then cut out. Next I stamped the sentiment and the image of the couple, both also from the Beautiful Ride set. Using my aquapainter and very little water, I coloured in the tyres and the people. Once this was successful (my first attempt was not, since I added a smudge from a finger) I glued on the cut out car. In case you’re wondering at Rich’s hair colour – it’s a mixture of cajun craze and pumpkin pie which, having seen photos, is pretty accurate. The mat is crumb cake to match the car.
