Vertical Greetings for PCC012

For those of you who don’t have Paper Pumpkin – and why not? Especially now when it’s BOGOF – here’s a card not using this month’s kit. Instead I’m using colour inspiration from Pootles Colour Challenge 012, which is mint macaron, flirty flamingo and tip top taupe. The seemed the perfect time to get out the Vertical Greetings set and my stampin’ write markers.

Stampin' Up! Vertical Greetings

First I took my aquapainter and quickly created some earth or shadow so that my plant pot wasn’t floating in space and then I coloured in various parts of the stamp in the three colours. After that I breathed on the stamp hard – to remoisten the ink – and using my stamp-a-ma-jig got the plant perfectly in place. I also used the stamp-a-ma-jig for the sentiment both for placement and to prevent wobble. Then I gave my piece of very vanilla a skinny mat of the rather bright flirty flamingo and a large border of tip top taupe to further tone it down. It’s a fun colour in small doses!

As usual, Sam has come up with colours that I wouldn’t have put together. It’s the reason I really enjoy challenges, they push you to try something a little different – or in this case, quite a lot. Flirty Flamingo hasn’t had much attention from me and I rarely use browns.

Don’t forget that tomorrow is the last day of the special deals.

See you tomorrow,

Liz
